How To Delete X Evidence

This guide explains how to delete an X post evidence record that you have submitted.

Overview

You can delete any X post evidence record that you have submitted. When you delete an evidence record:

• The record status is marked as deleted
• The record is removed from your evidence list
• The deletion timestamp is recorded
• Important: Deleted evidence cannot be recovered

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to Your Evidence List

1. Log into your XRZJ account
2. Go to Activity in the user navigation menu (usually located in the top right corner)
3. Click on X Posts in the left sidebar
4. You will see a list of all your submitted evidence records

Step 2: Locate the Evidence Record

1. Scroll through the list to find the evidence record you want to delete
2. Each record is displayed as a card showing:
   • Post preview or screenshot
   • Publisher comment (if any)
   • Post statistics
   • Visibility status (Public/Private)
   • Creation date

Step 3: Access the Delete Option

1. On the evidence record card, look for the three-dot menu (⋮) button, usually located in the top right corner of the card
2. Click the three-dot menu button to open the dropdown menu
3. You will see several options including:
   • View
   • View on X
   • Delete (shown in red/destructive color)

Step 4: Confirm Deletion

1. Click on "Delete" from the dropdown menu
2. A confirmation dialog will appear asking: "Are you sure you want to delete this post?"
3. Important: Read the confirmation message carefully
4. Choose one of the following:
   • Click "OK" or "Confirm" to proceed with deletion
   • Click "Cancel" to abort the deletion

Step 5: Verify Deletion

1. After confirming, the deletion process will begin
2. You will see a success message: "删除成功" (Delete successful) or "Deleted successfully"
3. The evidence record will be immediately removed from your list
4. The page will automatically refresh to show the updated list

Important Notes

Permanent Deletion

• Deleted evidence cannot be recovered
• Once deleted, the evidence record is permanently removed from your account
• The deletion timestamp is recorded for audit purposes

What Gets Deleted

• The evidence record is marked as deleted in the database
• The record is removed from your evidence list
• Associated screenshots and media files may be retained in storage (depending on system configuration)

Public vs Private Evidence

• Public evidence: Deleting public evidence will remove it from the public feed (/x)
• Private evidence: Only you can see and delete your private evidence

Deletion Permissions

• You can only delete evidence records that you have submitted
• You cannot delete evidence records submitted by other users
• Administrators may have additional deletion capabilities

When to Delete Evidence

Consider deleting evidence when:

• You submitted the wrong post by mistake
• The evidence is no longer needed
• You want to clean up your evidence archive
• The post has been removed from X and is no longer relevant

Troubleshooting

Delete Button Not Available

• Ensure you are the owner of the evidence record
• Check that you are logged into your account
• Verify the evidence record exists and is not already deleted

Deletion Fails

• Check your internet connection
• Try refreshing the page and attempting again
• If the problem persists, contact support

Evidence Still Appears After Deletion

• Wait a few seconds for the page to refresh
• Manually refresh the page (F5 or Cmd+R)
• Clear your browser cache if the issue persists
